Getting started: connect Nuira to Gorgias

Learn how to connect your Gorgias helpdesk to Nuira to turn support tickets and their themes into prioritized growth recommendations.

Updated: 27 August 2026

Nuira helps ecommerce teams decide what to do next by combining data from across their stack, then surfacing the actions most likely to grow profit. Gorgias adds the customer’s side of the story: what people are contacting you about, how often, and when that changes. This guide walks you through connecting Gorgias to Nuira.

Before you start

You’ll need admin access to your Gorgias account and a Nuira workspace. If you don’t have a Nuira account yet, sign up at app.nuira.ai/signup and create a workspace before continuing.

It also helps to know your Gorgias account address. It’s the one you use to open Gorgias every day, and it looks like your-brand.gorgias.com. If you’re not sure, open Gorgias and read it from your browser’s address bar.

Step 1: Start the connection from Nuira

From your Nuira workspace, click Integrations in the left sidebar. The page lists every source you can connect, under the heading Your sources. Find the Gorgias tile and click Connect. If Gorgias isn’t showing yet, open the Add integration tile and pick Gorgias from the catalog.

Step 2: Tell Nuira which Gorgias account

Unlike most integrations, Gorgias asks one question before sending you anywhere. Every Gorgias helpdesk lives at its own address, so Nuira needs to know which one is yours before it can take you to the right sign-in page.

Type your account address into the box. You can paste the whole thing (https://your-brand.gorgias.com), just the host (your-brand.gorgias.com), or only the name (your-brand) — all three work. Then click Continue to Gorgias.

Step 3: Authorize access in Gorgias

You’ll be taken to Gorgias and asked to sign in if you aren’t already. Gorgias will show you the permissions Nuira is requesting, which are read-only:

Nuira asks for nothing that can write to your helpdesk. It cannot create, edit, reply to, tag, close, or delete anything in Gorgias.

It also does not request access to your customer records, and it does not read the contents of your ticket messages. Nuira works from the shape of your support load — how many tickets, about what, on which channel, and how they were rated — not from what your customers wrote.

Review the requested permissions and click Allow to authorize the connection.

Step 4: Confirm the sync

After authorizing, you’ll be redirected back to Nuira. Your Integrations page will show Gorgias with a Connected badge, and Nuira will begin importing your tickets in the background.

The first sync reads your recent ticket history: when each ticket was opened and closed, which channel it came through, the tags your team applied, and the satisfaction score if the customer left one. How long it takes depends on your ticket volume, but it typically finishes within a few minutes. After that, Nuira refreshes automatically and only pulls tickets that changed since the last run.

Step 5: See what your support load is telling you

Once your data has synced, open Insights in the sidebar. Nuira watches for meaningful changes in your support load and flags them alongside everything else it tracks — for example, a jump in delivery-related tickets in the week after a campaign, which is a cost that a report on ad performance alone would never show.

Recommendations ranks suggested actions by estimated profit impact. Click into any recommendation to see the reasoning and supporting data behind it, along with a confidence level so you know how much weight to give it.

Nuira only recommends. It never applies a change to Gorgias or to any other connected tool on your behalf: you decide what to act on, and you make the change in your own account.

A note on tags

Nuira reads the tags your team already applies to tickets, and uses them to tell one kind of problem from another. If your team tags consistently, the themes Nuira surfaces will be sharper. If you don’t tag at all, the connection still works and you’ll still get ticket volume and satisfaction trends — you just won’t get the breakdown by issue.

Disconnecting or reconnecting

If you ever need to reconnect or disconnect Gorgias, go to Integrations, click the ··· menu in the top-right corner of the Gorgias tile, and choose Reconnect or Disconnect. Disconnecting removes Nuira’s stored access to your helpdesk and stops future syncing, but does not delete historical data already imported. You can also revoke Nuira’s access from inside Gorgias at any time, under Settings → Integrations → Apps.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What does Nuira read from Gorgias?

Support tickets, their tags and CSAT scores. It reads no message bodies beyond what those require, and it never replies to a ticket or changes its status.

Why connect a helpdesk to a profit tool?

Because ticket themes are demand signals. A spike in \\u201cwhere is my order\\u201d against one product is an operations problem that shows up in support before it shows up in returns.

Do I need a specific Gorgias plan?

Any plan with API access. The connection uses your account subdomain, so you authorise the specific helpdesk rather than granting access at an organisation level.

Does it store customer messages?

Only what the ticket and tag data requires. Nuira is not a support tool and has no reason to retain conversation content — and the account deletion flow removes everything synced.
